Our schedule is jammed packed right now. I started working
for a government contractor in June, and Matt continues to serve in the Coast
Guard. His schedule isn’t the normal nine to five, and he has to stand duty every
other weekend. So finding time to make long distance trips can be difficult. We
also volunteer with the youth group at our Church. This has been such a
blessing to both of us. With the new school year just beginning, we are about
to switch back full-swing into the youth ministry. I can’t wait to catch up
with all the kids, and encourage them throughout this year. Matt and I have
also made a commitment to our small group that meets on Wednesday nights. This
is also great way for us to stay connected with our church community!
Matt takes on even more by himself. I have to say that I am
married to not only the most handsome man, but also the smartest, kindest, and
most selfless person I’ve ever met. On top of his already full schedule, he
volunteers with the Lexington Park Rescue Squad at least twice a month. Just
last week, he also began as the assistant coach to a local high school varsity
soccer team. Also, he is taking classes towards a master’s degree in intelligence.
I am excited to say that he has maintained an “A” average in his studies so
far! I’m so proud of him for his dedication and hard work. I just don’t know how
he can juggle it all, but he makes the most of it! He’s always striving to
serve others and do his very best. I know I’m biased, but I have the
best husband ever! I seem to fall more in love with him every day.
Look at how handsome he is! <3 Photo cred: the amazing Millie Holloman |
Well, I could make this entire post about my sweet husband, but I’ll save that for some other time. ;-) For now I’ll leave y’all with warm wishes for a grand week ahead!
your last paragraph "but I’ve got to be the best husband ever! " I thought it was proof that matt said those things about himself.
ReplyDeletehahaha, typo! I should fix that one now... :)
DeleteOK, it's updated now. No matter how many times I read and re-read it before posting, I can't escape the dreaded typo! Oh well... I'll just blame it on my busy schedule, right?!
